Howard G. Goldberg, an honorary member of the AIA and lead outside counsel to the Documents Committee of the AIA for 27 years, has represented design professionals for over 40 years. He regularly handles A/E liability and licensing claims, A/E contract claims and drafts contract documents on behalf of A/E professionals. He has authored publications and spoken on numerous construction issues including changes to and development of newly released AIA documents, design professional liability and licensing, and dispute resolution.
Robin G. Banks, a deputy outside counsel to the AIA Contract Documents Committee, has represented design professionals for over 15 years. She, too, regularly handles A/E liability claims, A/E contract claims and drafts contract documents on behalf of those professionals. She has authored publications and spoken on design professionals, the risks and rewards of innovative design for the A/E and contract drafting and negotiation.
