Joe McManus represented AGC in negotiations with AIA on AIA’s 1987 Ed. standard form documents. In 1997, he represented subcontractor trade associations MCAA & ASC. He wrote “Legal Analysis of A-201” for AGC. Joe is a litigator, an arbitrator with AAA & Chartered Institute (CIArb), and past President of the American College of Construction Lawyers. Dale Ellickson’s practice is construction contracts & design professional issues. He is an AIA Fellow. As senior in-house counsel to AIA Contract Documents, he oversaw new developments in HAZMAT, ADR, shop drawings, changes and correction of work, insurance, payments, and termination. He co-drafted HUD’s model architect’s agreement & advises states & universities on model contracts. He was legal counsel for AIA’s MASTERSPEC; liaison on insurance for A/E professional liability & builder’s general liability.

On the government contract side, Joe McManus was law clerk to the ASBCA, David Butzer was law clerk to the Court of Claims and Dan Toomey was with the Justice Department.
