John H. “Buzz” Tarlow practices primarily in the construction field, often serving as a mediator or arbitrator in construction disputes. He also handles litigation matters involving civil, commercial, and insurance issues. Buzz is the only elected member of the American College of Construction Lawyers practicing in the state of Montana. He was elected to serve as a member of the Board of Governors in February 2014. He is a Founder of the Montana State Bar Construction Law Section, and founded the Montana Construction Law Institute. (an annual statewide construction law conference in association with the State Bar of Montana) He has spoken at numerous construction law conferences and is an adjunct professor at Montana State University, College of Engineering. Buzz is active as a construction mediator and arbitrator in the State of Montana.

Tarlow Stonecipher Weamer & Kelly, PLLC, was formed in 1997 by Tom Stonecipher and Buzz Tarlow, who began their careers in Chicago and Burlington, Vermont, respectively. The firm is located in Bozeman, the home of Montana State University. Montana is a close-knit legal community. The firm’s lawyers routinely travel throughout the region representing local, national, and international clients.
The firm includes lawyers with active law licenses in Wyoming, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota and North Dakota. Members of the firm are seasoned litigators with extensive experience in state and federal trial and appellate courts. Among them, they have direct experience in the areas of Construction Law; Zoning, Planning and Land Use; Civil Litigation; Insurance Litigation; Commercial Real Estate; Business and Corporate Law and Oil, Gas and Mineral Rights.
