Trustee Responsibilities
As a Trustee, you will help ensure that the AIA Trust remains a vital resource for AIA members. Your key responsibilities include:
- Program Oversight: You’ll help review and evaluate the effectiveness of AIA Trust programs, ensuring they meet the needs of members. You will also be involved in the consideration of new programs that may be introduced to expand the Trust’s portfolio.
- Financial Stewardship: Trustees participate in overseeing the AIA Trust budget, setting investment policies, and ensuring the financial stability of the Trust’s programs.
- Advocacy: You will act as an advocate for members, ensuring that programs are accessible and beneficial, and address any member inquiries or concerns by working with expert consultants and plan providers.
- Committee Work: Trustees are able to contribute additionally through committee work where you will collaborate with other Trustees and experts to refine programs and services.
- Leadership Development: Trustees are encouraged to nominate future candidates for the board, helping to ensure continuity and diversity of the AIA Trust leadership.
