Insure Your Firm’s Future

The AIA Trust Professional Liability Database is a resource designed especially for AIA members, detailing everything you need to know about risk management and professional liability.

A searchable directory of more than 40 professional liability insurers, the AIA Trust Professional Liability Database gives AIA member architects critical information about one of the most important purchasing decisions that you will make for yourselves and your firms. This tool is designed to be simple to use and to deliver vital information quickly and easily.

Browse and compare

The database allows users to browse through professional liability insurance providers, find specific providers, and gather filtered search results based on specified criteria. The database also includes an option to compare up to three insurers by simply clicking the box beside each insurer and then clicking the “Compare” button at the top of the page. The report can be easily printed out to share and discuss with partners, brokers, or colleagues. The information on the database enables members to contact insurers directly for more information or simply to visit their websites.

The AIA Trust website also publishes the Annual Survey of Professional Liability Insurers.

The AIA Trust also offers many helpful articles and guides about how to select and apply for professional liability insurance. A summary of recent trends gleaned from interviews with more than a dozen liability insurers discusses industry trends, claims frequency, and emerging risks was also recently published.

Finding a broker

There’s also a page of helpful information about finding and working with a broker, including several online broker networks.

Members may also clarify easily the sometimes baffling terminology of the insurance world — so there is a glossary for reference.
