Need a Lawyer? Try the New AIA Trust Legal Network

AIA members and their firms can now find qualified A/E Construction Lawyers to help when it’s needed most—in handling a pending claim or another A/E legal matter.

The AIA Trust Legal Network is a database of experienced A/E law firms that may be searched by state to assist members in finding appropriate legal representation when needed. The AIA Trust plans to add a section on tips for working effectively with attorneys, whether providing expert testimony or preparing for a deposition.

AIA Members and Components are encouraged to recommend an A/E attorney with whom they have worked successfully to sign up for the AIA Trust Legal Network. Participating law firms are asked to maintain a continuing relationship with and support for a local and/or state AIA component.

In addition, the AIA Trust continues to offer AIA members “LegaLine,” a unique legal information service for AIA Members that functions as a practice coach to provide members with information to help negotiate and interpret contracts, manage risks and prevent lawsuits, improve client communication, resolve or mitigate disputes with clients, employees, and contractors—even help you determine whether you need to hire a lawyer in a specific situation.
